Studies after J.M.W. Turner







Turner is one of my favorite artist.
Here are some watercolors I made in past few days, inspired by Turner's oil paintings. My basic intention was to catch his color harmonies, although the 4th is more saturated. Here they are, in chronological order.

these are amazing! I love the second one down. you really carved the form into the ship in the foreground while letting the others fade into bleeding silhouettes. keep it up!
